Invites and roles
Org admins invite teammates from Team → Members.
Order of operations (important)
Do this so people land in the right company workspace:
- Create the company workspace first (or rename the founder's signup org to the company name).
- Invite teammates from that workspace before anyone else signs up on their own.
- Teammates should use the invite link (or the invite email) to sign up / log in. Atlas accepts outstanding invites on dashboard load even if the invite token was dropped from the URL.
- Claim the company email domain under Team → Settings → Auto-join by domain only after sales / admin setup, when the company workspace already has your team on it. Atlas does not offer a self-serve reclaim UI; support moves mistaken claims.
Do not have a second person sign up alone, claim @yourcompany.com on their personal workspace, and invite people from there. That creates a second org and auto-joins new hires into the wrong place.
Invite flow
- Admin enters email, first name, last name, role, and team assignments.
- Atlas sends an invite email.
- Invitee signs up or logs in and accepts the invite.
- They land on the dashboard with the assigned role and teams. Company invites switch their active workspace automatically.
Use first and last name so the roster stays readable.
Roles

You can change role and team assignments later on the members page.
Domain auto-join
Org admins can claim email domains under Team → Settings. Users with a matching verified email auto-join the org and switch their active workspace to that company org (personal signup credits are forfeited).
Ops note: we set the company domain claim after sales or admin setup, once the real company workspace already has the team on it. Do not let a solo signup claim @company.com first.
Atlas blocks a personal (solo) workspace from claiming a domain when another org already has equal or more members on that email domain. Company workspaces still use the older equal-count tie-break. That stops a brand-new personal org from stealing auto-join for @company.com.
Switching workspaces
If someone belongs to a company workspace but is still on a personal one, the dashboard shows a switch banner. Credits and teams live on the company workspace.
Remove a member
Admins remove members from Team → Members. Their past envelopes remain on the teams they owned.
