Atlas vs ROGER

ROGER charges per signed contract: free up to 5 a month, then $3 to $4 each, with no unlimited plan. Atlas e-sign is free and unlimited at any volume. Both offer unlimited users. ROGER gates APIs and integrations to a custom-quoted Enterprise tier. Atlas includes the API, MCP server, and every integration on every plan, and adds a managed contracts option no e-sign vendor offers.

TL;DR

  • Atlas e-sign is free at 5 contracts a month and at 5,000. ROGER is free to 5, then $3 to $4 per signed contract forever.
  • Both have unlimited users. Only Atlas includes the API, MCP server, and every integration on every plan. ROGER gates them to Enterprise.
  • Atlas publishes workflow automation pricing from $99.99 a month. ROGER publishes no automation or lifecycle features.
  • Atlas scales to enterprise with roles, workspaces, audit certificates, and volume pricing.
  • Only Atlas offers a managed option: people who run your contracts, from $1,500 a month.

How much does ROGER cost?

Free for 5 signed contracts a month, then $3 to $4 per signed contract with no cap on what you can end up paying.

ROGER (thanksroger.com) prices per signed contract with no subscription. The first 5 signed contracts a month are free, then $4 each up to 20 a month, then $3 each past that. Unlimited templates and unlimited users on every tier.

Charging per signed contract means you pay nothing for contracts that never close. But the cost scales linearly forever. At 100 signed contracts a month you pay about $300 a month, and there is no unlimited plan to graduate into.

Atlas e-sign is free at every volume. There is nothing to graduate into because there is no meter.

What does 100 contracts a month cost?

About $300 a month on ROGER, every month. $0 on Atlas.

On ROGER, roughly $300 a month, with no cap in sight. On Atlas, $0 for the signing itself, at 100 or 10,000 contracts.

Atlas only charges when it automates a contract from intake to filed for you. Starter is $99.99/mo for 10 workflow runs, Growth is $249.99/mo for 50, and Business is custom volume pricing for teams running 100 or more contracts a month.

What does Atlas include that ROGER gates?

The API, custom integrations, and any workflow automation. ROGER holds those for a custom-quoted Enterprise tier; Atlas includes them on Free.

ROGER matches Atlas on one axis: unlimited users. But APIs and custom integrations require its custom-quoted Enterprise tier, and it publishes no workflow automation or contract lifecycle features.

Atlas includes the REST API, MCP server, and every integration on every plan. It works with PDF and DOCX, detects fields with AI, and lets you send from the dashboard, Claude, or ChatGPT.

Enterprise

Does Atlas work at enterprise scale?

Yes. Atlas has no seat pricing, so a 10,000-person company pays nothing extra for users, and the Managed Contracts Department scales with your contract volume.

Atlas is built for a five-person startup and a Fortune 500 procurement team on the same plan structure. Seats are unlimited on every plan. Adding your whole legal, sales, and finance org costs nothing.

Access is controlled with admin and member roles, teams, and workspaces. Each organization sees only its own agreements. Signers see only the fields meant for them. Every signed document carries an audit certificate that records who signed, when, and from where, and the signed PDF is hashed with SHA-256 so any later change is detectable.

Developers and agents get the same surface on every plan: a REST API, an MCP server, an append-only event log you can poll, idempotency keys, and templates. The Business plan prices workflow runs by volume. Outbound webhooks are in development. SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning are planned but not yet available.

When the contract load outgrows your team, the Managed Contracts Department runs intake, drafting, routing, chasing, filing, and reporting for you. It is priced by company size and contract volume, so it works as an outsourced contracts function that grows with you instead of a headcount line.

Managed service

Is there a managed option?

Only from Atlas. No competitor on these pages bundles people who run your contracts; Atlas does, from $1,500 a month.

ROGER sells self-serve e-sign software. It has no managed contracts offering.

No software vendor in this category bundles humans who run your contracts. If you want the work done for you, the rest of the market offers two options: ALSPs like Axiom at published rates of $150 to $350 per hour, or a contracts administrator hire at roughly $86,000 to $105,000 a year fully loaded ($7,200 or more a month).

The Atlas Managed Contracts Department starts at $1,500 a month, priced by company size and contract volume. That is about one fifth of a loaded contracts admin hire, software included. The Atlas team runs each contract from intake to filed: intake by email, Slack, or form, drafting from your approved templates, routing and chasing, approvals routed to whoever you name including in-house or outside counsel, filing executed copies into your CRM, drive, and finance tools, renewal and obligation tracking, and reporting built around what you track. During negotiation Atlas coordinates counsel's redlines and edits with the other side. Atlas does not give legal advice.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Atlas cheaper than ROGER?

Yes, at every volume. Both are free at 5 or fewer signed contracts a month. Past that, ROGER charges $3 to $4 per signed contract, so 100 contracts a month runs about $300. Atlas e-sign stays free and unlimited at any volume.

Does ROGER limit users?

No. ROGER includes unlimited users on all tiers, the same posture as Atlas. The difference is per-contract fees and gated APIs, not seats.

What is the best free e-sign tool?

Atlas. It offers unlimited free e-sign forever with unlimited users, every integration, the API, and an audit certificate on every signed document. ROGER is free only up to 5 signed contracts a month, then bills per contract.

Does ROGER have an API?

Only on its Enterprise tier, which is custom quoted. Atlas includes API access, the MCP server, and all integrations on every plan, including Free. Outbound webhooks are in development.

Is ROGER a good fit if I only sign a few contracts a month?

Atlas is the better fit at any volume, including low volume. At 5 or fewer signed contracts a month both products are free. Atlas also includes the API, integrations, templates, AI field detection, and sending from Claude or ChatGPT on the free plan, and stays free when your volume grows. ROGER starts billing at contract number 6.

Does ROGER work for large companies?

ROGER publishes an Enterprise tier with APIs and custom integrations at a custom quote. Atlas includes those on every plan and adds what enterprises ask for: unlimited seats, admin and member roles, teams and workspaces, per-organization isolation, an audit certificate with a SHA-256 hash on every signed document, volume pricing on the Business plan, and a Managed Contracts Department priced by company size and contract volume. SAML SSO and SCIM are planned but not yet available.

Does ROGER run my contracts for me?

No. Like every software vendor in this category, ROGER sells a tool you operate. The Atlas Managed Contracts Department handles intake, drafting from templates, routing, chasing, filing, renewal calendar, and monthly reporting from $1,500/mo.

Keep the software. Skip the caps.

Unlimited e-sign is free. You pay when Atlas handles the rest.
