Send from ChatGPT

ChatGPT connects to Atlas over MCP with OAuth. No API key in chat. Signers do not get email until you click Send on the review page.

Connect once

  1. ChatGPT → Settings → Apps & connectors → add Atlas.
  2. Sign in to Atlas when prompted → Allow.
  3. Start a new chat so Atlas tools load.

Attach PDF or DOCX in chat

ChatGPT can read files you attach in the message. Claude cannot do this. That is the main difference.

  1. Attach your PDF or DOCX with the paperclip.
  2. Paste a prompt with signer emails.
  3. Open review_url and click Send.

Example prompt:

I attached our NDA in this message. Send it for signature with Atlas.

Signer: sarah@acme.com, Sarah Chen.

Share the review link when it is ready. I will click Send on the review page before anyone gets email.

Draft or edit in chat

  1. Write the contract in chat.
  2. Ask Atlas to send for signature with signer emails.
  3. Open the review link and click Send.

Example prompt:

Draft a consulting agreement between my company and Acme Corp in this chat.

When the text looks right, send it for signature with Atlas. Signer: client@acme.com, Alex Rivera.

Share the review link when it is ready. Do not email signers until I click Send on the review page.

Shareable download link

The URL must download the file directly. View-only pages fail.

Example prompt:

Share the review link when it is ready. I will click Send on the review page before anyone gets email.

Local file only on your laptop

When you cannot attach the file in chat, ask for an upload link. Same flow as Send from Claude.

Send this contract for signature with Atlas.

Signer: jane@example.com, Jane Signer.

The file is only on my laptop and I cannot attach it here. Give me an Atlas upload link, wait while I upload, then finish when I say "done". Share the review link when it is ready.

After Atlas responds

  1. Open review_url.
  2. Wait for field detection if needed.
  3. Fix signers and fields.
  4. Click Send.
