Send from Claude

Atlas connects to Claude over MCP. Signers do not get email until you click Send on the review page.

Connect once

  1. Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → add Atlas → sign in → Allow.
  2. Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf: add Atlas MCP with your API key from Dashboard → Settings.
  3. Start a new chat after connecting.

ChatGPT is the only client where attaching a PDF in chat usually works. Everywhere else, use an upload link for files on your computer.

Attaching a local file

This fails: drag a PDF into Claude and ask Atlas to send it. Claude cannot pass that file to Atlas.

This works:

  1. Paste a prompt with signer emails and ask for an upload link.
  2. Open the link Atlas returns and upload your PDF or DOCX.
  3. Back in chat, say done, uploaded, or ready.
  4. Open the review_url and click Send.

Example prompt:

Send this contract for signature with Atlas.

Signer: jane@example.com, Jane Signer.

The PDF is on my computer. Do not try to read the attachment in chat. Give me an Atlas upload link, wait while I upload the file, then finish when I say "done". Share the review link when it is ready. I will click Send on the review page before anyone gets email.

Generating or editing in chat

  1. Draft or edit the contract in chat (NDA, SOW, offer letter).
  2. Ask Atlas to send it for signature with signer emails.
  3. Open the review link and click Send.

Example prompt:

Draft a short mutual NDA between my company and Acme Corp in this chat.

When the text looks right, send it for signature with Atlas. Signer: sarah@acme.com, Sarah Chen.

Share the review link when it is ready. Do not email signers until I click Send on the review page.

Pasting a shareable URL

The link must be a direct download. View-only pages (Google Docs preview, Dropbox preview) fail.

Example prompt:

Send this contract for signature with Atlas using this direct download link:

Signer: alex@vendor.com, Alex Rivera.

Share the review link when it is ready. I will click Send on the review page before anyone gets email.

After Atlas responds

  1. Open review_url.
  2. Wait for field detection if needed.
  3. Fix signers and fields.
  4. Click Send.
